    About Tiruvelliyangudi

    The Tiruvelliyangudi, Village located near Kumbakonam ,Tamilnadu ,south India. And the main deity is Valvil Ramar Perumal and his consorts Pottramaraiyal and it’s only one of the temple for Mercury (Budhan) (Navagraha in Kumbakonam).And the temple constructed by Cholas.

    Kolavalvil Ramar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu Kola Valvill Ramar Temple is located in Tiruvelliyangudi, a village located 19 km away from the Kumbakonam on the Kumbakonam - Chennai highway.

    The temple is glorified in the Divya Prabandha, the early medieval Tamil canon of the Azhwar saints from the 6th to 9th centuries AD. It is one of the 108 Divyadesam dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshipped as Kola Valval Ramar and his consort Lakshmi as Maragathavalli.


    The Srilankan King Ravana abducted Seetha and carried her. And the king of Eagle family Jatayu fought with him.
